Tools in the Trades Bootcamp
We're looking forward to seeing you on January 23, 2025!Please join us at: 5500 North Service Road in the main lobby for registration. You will then head up to Suite 801 for orientation. Please do NOT go straight up to 801.
All participants are required to take a sills assessment through Support Ontario Youth / TalentSorter.
HVAC is the only option left so if interested, please take that assessment. Thank you!
AGENDA
8:30am – 9am
Sign in – Participants receive trades specific tool kits
9am – 945am
Introduction from SOY and then an opportunity for host and employers present to talk to the participants about Skilled Trades, what they’re looking for and some helpful hints for the participants. There will also be time for the participants to network with employers.
945am – 12pm
Each of the Skilled Trades groups will be split in half with half the participants in an Essential Employability Skills (EE) session while the other half will be on the Tools Boot Camp session.
12:15pm – 1:00pm
Pizza lunch will be provided. If you have specific dietary needs, please bring your own lunch or there is a cafe in the building.
This is a great opportunity to network and connect with employers and other participants!
1pm – 3:30pm
Morning groups switch (half to Hands on , half to Essential Employability Skills)
330pm – 4:00pm
